John Gates, 72, well known Sioux politician in both North and South Dakota, passed away at Rapid City Feb. 3, following a brief illness. Funeral service was conducted from the Campbell Funeral Home in Rapid City Wednesday, Feb. 7, with Rev. Percy Tibbets officiating.
