Redpoint Contracting of Phoenix, AZ is moving east toward Timber Lake this week, extending the Mni Waste line which already delivers Missouri River water to most of Dewey and Ziebach counties. The pipeline is 16 inches wide up to the Highway 20 junction and 10 inches wide into Timber Lake.
Cones along portions of the route of the new N63 project indicate locations where the line is being placed in the state right-of-way on Highway 20 west of Timber Lake.
The Phase 2 line of the Mni Waste/ TriCounty N63 water project is approaching Timber Lake and expected to reach town this fall. The project is an extension of the existing Mni Waste pipeline bringing Missouri River water north to the city of Timber Lake, which presently relies on ground source water pumped from several wells.
