This Red Angus yearling heifer belongs to Archie Hulm of Timber Lake. She is one of about 3.8 million head of cattle in South Dakota as of the January 2022 USDA inventory. The inventory also included an estimated 2 million hogs, 235,000 sheep, and 4 million turkeys on 29,400 farm operations covering 43 million acres in the state.
