On July 14 at 3:50 pm, the Corson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a location near the Fort Manuel Monument near Kenel after a report of a possible protection order violation. After an investigation a 52-year-old male from McLaughlin was arrested on the following charges: Ingesting Substance Excluding Alcohol/To Intoxicate (Drugs), Violation of Protection Order, and Violation of Protection Order.
On July 16 at 10:20 am, the Corson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check request at a residence in McIntosh. During the investigation a 67-year-old male from McIntosh was found deceased in his home.
On July 17 at 7:50 pm, the Corson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle stop near mile post 101 on US HWY 12. After an investigation a 21-year-old male from Harvey, ND was arrested on the following charges: Conspicuous Display Plates or Number, Ingesting Substance Excluding Alcohol/To Intoxicate (Drugs), Open Container/Motor Vehicle, Possession of Controlled Drug/Substance, Possession of Marijuana 2 oz or less, Possession or Use of Drug Paraphernalia by Driver. A 22-year-old male passenger, from Martin, ND was cited for Consumption or possession of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
On July 18 at 1:00 am, the Corson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a security and welfare check on a person who appeared to be sleeping in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Grand River Casino. After an investigation a 70-year-old male from Shakopee, MN was detained and arrested by BIA on the following charges: Ingesting Substance Excluding Alcohol/To Intoxicate (Drugs), Possession of Marijuana 2 oz or less, Possession or Use of Drug Paraphernalia in Motor Vehicle.
The Corson County Sheriff’s Office handled 42 calls for service between July 13 and July 19.
