Teaching? ‘That is something I will never do’ said this Teacher of the Year
Kim Lindskov Smeenk is Belle Fourche School District’s Teacher of the Year.
Kim Smeenk (RIGHT) and her husband Jeff and their children, Marlee and Trey, live west of Newell on Jeff’s family’s farm/ranch. Marlee, 18, just graduated from Belle Fourche HS and will be attending University of Mary in Bismarck, ND in the fall. Trey, 15, will be a sophomore at Belle Fourche HS in the fall.
Kim Smeenk, a special education teacher at Belle Fourche Middle School, was honored as the district’s Teacher of the Year for 2020-2021. The daughter of Dennis and Margaret Lindskov of Isabel, Kim is a 1993 graduate of Isabel High School.
The Topic caught up with Kim to ask a few questions and obtained some comments from the people who nominated her for the award.
