Timber Lake Topic August 18, 1966 Registration on Aug. 29 will start school year in Timber Lake DistrictDespite an incomplete staff, plans are being made for the Timber Lake public schools to begin the 1966-67 term Monday with registration at 9:00 a.m., according to Supt. Wallace Halverson.

Heitsch sisters graduate

Whitley Heitsch received her doctorate of chiropractic medicine from Parker University in Dallas, TX in August.Shaelynn Heitsch received her Doctor of Nursing Anesthesia Practice from Mount Marty University in Yankton in May.They will both be working in the Rapid City area.

Other Fallen Heroes Bridges

The Highway 1806 bridge over Oak Creek, south of Wakpala, will be dedicated to US Marine Corps Private First Class Randolph Hutchinson on Friday, August 21 at the Wakpala School at 1 p.m. MT. Hutchinson was a member of the Timber Lake High School Class of 1963 who was killed in Vietnam.The Hwy.

Soil testing approved for County Road 10 project

The Dewey County Commissioners met electronically with a representative of Soil Technologies of Mobridge on August 6 to discuss bore samples of County Road 10 as part of the Promise Road project.The company that will grind the road has requested these samples before grinding.
