Dupree Pioneer Days Celebration

The Dupree Community celebrated America’s 250th birthday with a red, white and blue parade on Saturday, June 27.  

Liquor licenses approved for North Forty

The Town of Isabel’s board approved a retail and package liquor license along with a municipal operating agreement for Bryce Lindskov’s new business, North Forty, LLC.

Woman gets 13 years for assaulting officer

U.S. District Judge Charles B. Kornmann has sentenced a McLaughlin woman convicted of assaulting, resisting and impeding a federal officer. The sentencing took place on June 8, 2026.

Changes set at Catholic churches

As of July 1 four Catholic churches within All Saints Parish will be affected by changes to the availability and/ or frequency of ministerial services.Two are to be closed completely: St. Joseph’s Church in Ridgeview and Immaculate Conception Church in Bridger.

Lemburg retires after 36 years at highway department

Cathy Lemburg started working at the Dewey County Highway Department in June of 1990, meaning she worked there for almost exactly 36 years before retiring.Before starting at the Highway Department, Lemburg worked at the Western Dakota Bank as an assistant cashier.

SDPBD remains committed to SDHSAA events

Despite national attempts to defund public television, South Dakota Public Broadcasting remains committed to covering state athletic and fine arts events.
