State’s largest hunger relief organization dealing with federal cuts

Federal cuts made by the Trump Administration will result in Feeding South Dakota - an organization providing a helping hand to people who struggle with food insecurity - serving more than one million fewer meals in the months ahead.

Pardon the interruption

Isabel residents have been dealing with some traffic disruptions as B & L Construction of Bison works to replace broken sewer lines around the town as well as cleaning the lines and running a camera through them for inspection purposes. Once this phase is complete.

County gives fire hazard ordinance early approval

The first reading of a fire hazards ordinance was approved by the Dewey County Commission at its regular meeting on June 5. The board also heard an audit report, discussed a new road, accepted gravel bids and met the new sheriff’s deputy.

Dept. of Veterans Affairs to host coffee meeting June 17 in Timber Lake

The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs (SDDVA), in partnership with Corson and Dewey County Veterans Service Officers Kevin Dyda and Marshall Totton, will host a special “Coffee and Conversation” event in Timber Lake on Tuesday, June 17, at the Timber Lake Community Center.
