Dupree School holds staff recognition party

The Dupree School held their annual end of year staff recognition party and showed appreciation to staff through a taco meal, cake, certificates of recognition, Terry Redlin prints and quilts.
Eight youngsters graduated from Timber Lake Head Start on May 23. They performed songs for an audience at the Timber Lake Community Center and received diplomas, awards, and gifts. The graduates are (l-r): Alaia Edwards, Noah Marshall, Leah Mellette, Douglas Kraft, Riley Schumacher, Payton Bollinger, Slash Lawrence, and Kash Ward.

Timber Lake weather observer Joe Scherer retiring June 1

Joe Scherer, who has been recording temperatures and precipitation at Timber Lake for nearly 20 years, is retiring from the volunteer post effective June 1.National Weather Service spokesperson Scott Doering told the Topic this week that the NWS is looking for someone to replace Scherer.

TL school district board election set Tuesday, June 3

The Timber Lake School District will hold its school board election on Tuesday, June 3, in all voting precincts. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Eight candidates are vying for two, three-year terms on the board.
