Three incumbents win re-election to Dupree School Board

Three incumbent candidates for the Dupree School Board were reelected during the school district’s election last Tuesday, April 8.In the race to fill a two-year seat on the board, incumbent Jesse “Jake” Longbrake won with 127 votes compared to 91 cast for challenger Justin Thorstenson.

TL Fire Dept. responds to grass fire near Swiftbird

The Timber Lake Fire Department was one of several from the area that responded to a grass fire west of Swiftbird on Friday, April 11, that consumed 700 acres of land.According to a statement from the Gettysburg Fire Department, the Buffalo Fire was caused by a wheel bearing going out.
