Families have options for child care

Timber Lake Community Daycare Center, which has been open since 2008, has a new interim director. Stacy Keller is filling the role on a part-time basis while continuing her employment at the Timber Lake School.

Allison Gross, B.A. 2024, spent a semester studying in Ireland as an undergraduate student, recently completed an internship at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. and will start a graduate program in public affairs at Indiana University in the fall.

Last weekend, Jim and Jackie Keller had the company of Jamie, Jackson, and Logan Weise from Gillette, WY.Bill and Laurie Bickel and Chloe Lautt spent their weekend in Aberdeen at Story Book Land. Chloe is staying with Bill and Laurie, her grandma and grandpa, for a couple days to visit.

SD Junior Beef Ambassador applications now open

The South Dakota Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) is calling on South Dakota youth ages 5-18 to apply for the new cohort of the South Dakota Junior Beef Ambassador program. This year marks the fifth year of the program.The 2023/2024 program had 43 Junior Beef Ambassadors from across South Dakota.

Judge: Federal government not responsible for paying for former tribal office building

While the federal government is not responsible for paying for a deteriorating former tribal offices building in Eagle Butte, a Federal Claims Court judge said in a ruling last week that although given every opportunity to help the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST), the U.S.
