Chris and Tom Hermes of Timber Lake celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at the St. Joseph’s Center in Timber Lake on May 25, hosted by their sons, Shaun of Westhope, ND and Drew of Timber Lake.

Sheriff Open House

The Dewey County Sheriff ’s Office hosted an open house cookout on June 8. Sheriff Ash Arpan and deputies gave tours, and young volunteers sold tshirts, took donations, and gave out “badges.

A Field of Green

Recent timely rains have greened up Dewey County and the surrounding area to usher in the official start of summer next Thursday, June 20. The rains have meant extra mowing duty for Timber Lake teacher/coach Landon Leuning as he tends to turf at Kraft Field.
