Young people in communities across the country are gaining valuable emergency preparedness skills through the Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program, a youth-focused initiative designed to teach disaster readiness, safety awareness, and community service.

America’s 250th Anniversary is the theme for Dupree’s annual Pioneer Days celebration Friday through Sunday, June 26-28.HonoreesSpecial honorees for this year’s Pioneer Days are Jim and Carolyn Brooks. Jim has lived in the Lantry/ Dupree area for 61 years and Carolyn has been a resident for 43.

8 Second Ride ...

Gavin White, a member of the Timber Lake High School Rodeo Club, punched his ticket to the South Dakota High School Finals Rodeo already underway in Ft. Pierre with an impressive 8 second ride during Northwest Region Rodeo competition in Dupree last weekend.
