County commissioners decide to charge for blading, plowing

Dewey County Director of Equalization Brandy Meier reported there were no assessment appeals filed this year when she met with the Dewey County Consolidated Equalization Board on May 4. Property owners recently received their assessment notices which will be used for taxes to be levied for 2024.

Range management workshop set for June 27-29 at Deadwood

South Dakota State University Extension is partnering with the United States Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Natural Resources Conservation Service to provide the 2023 South Dakota Range Management Workshop June 27-29 near Deadwood.

City Board gets update on water, sewer projects

The Timber Lake City Board got an update on the water and sewer projects from engineer Trent Baumeister of IMEG at the board’s April 10 meeting. He said some final survey work must be completed this spring in preparation for the water project plans and specs to be submitted to the Dept.
