200 Club drawings held at Sacred Heart

The Sacred Heart Parish of Dupree held their monthly 200 Club drawings Sunday, March 19 in the church hall following Holy Mass and brunch. Winners were: $50–Harper Jewett and Bill Mraz of Dupree; $25–Dan Schrempp, Dan Keller, and Peggy McLellan, all of Eagle Butte, and Sandy Lemke of Dupree.

Bridge repair work begins over Cherry Creek, Bear Creek

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) began bridge repair work Monday, March 20, in two locations, including S.D. Highway 73 north of Howes over Cherry Creek and on U.S. Highway 212 east of Faith over Bear Creek.

Four teachers submit resignations

The Timber Lake School will lose some longtime teachers at the end of this school year after school board members accepted four resignations during their monthly meeting last Wednesday, March 15, including that of 36-year classroom veteran Cara Biegler.
