Family STEAM Night draws over 300 for learning activities

Eighty percent of Timber Lake elementary students attended the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Family Night event on March 24 with 370 people in attendance.

Maher announces bid for District 28 Senate seat

Isabel businessman Ryan Maher announced last Wednesday, March 25, that he has filed for election to the South Dakota State Senate seat representing District 28. Maher, a Republican, filed his candidacy for the seat currently held by J. Sam Marty (R-Prairie City) who has also filed.

The sixth grade class at McIntosh Elementary School was named a winner in the North Dakota Dept. of Transportation’s latest Name the Snowplow contest. The students chose WhiteoutWarrior, which will be placed on the snowplow. The students also got the opportunity to autograph a snowplow.

Charges against NDN Collective CEO dropped

Prosecutors in Pennington County have dismissed charges against a prominent Indigenous rights advocate.Charges stemming from a 2022 incident against Nick Tilsen, CEO and founder of NDN Collective, have been dropped, the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s office announced Monday.
