Mavis Dahlgren writes memoir

Mavis Dahlgren of Timber Lake has written a memoir of her childhood years from 1940-1954. Growing Up a Johnson in Campbell County tells the story in text and photos, as she remembers, of the years she grew up on a farm in Campbell County.

Selling holiday decor

Leithauser competes in State FFA speaking competition

Dupree High School's Trinity Leithauser, a sophomore and member of the Dupree FFA Chapter, received 13th place in State FFA Prepared Public Speaking competition. Her speech was on “Food Quality and Reduction of Food-Borne Illnesses.

Storm forces calendar changes, holidays will bring closings

Weather has forced postponements and closings this week, and the holidays will result in more closings next week. Here’s an update as of Tuesday afternoon: The Timber Lake Middle School/High School Christmas Concert scheduled for December 12 has been moved to Tuesday, December 20 at 6 p.m.

One more issue of Topic for 2022

The Topic does not publish the last week of the year so the last issue for 2022 is December 22. There will be no paper on December 29. The first issue of the new year will be January 5, 2023.
