Special meetings

The following meetings have been added to the December community calendar: • The Timber Lake City Board will meet on Wednesday, December 28 at 6 p.m. to wrap up end-of-year business. The first meeting of 2023 will be on Monday, January 9.

Two more issues of Topic for 2022

The Topic does not publish the last week of the year so the last issues for 2022 are December 15 and 22. There will be no paper on December 29. The first issue of the new year will be January 5, 2023.

Dewey County Commission approves second employee bonus

The Dewey County Commissioners approved $2000 in pandemic-related premium pay for full-time employees when they met on December 1. The board had earlier paid county workers $2000 and delayed a decision on a second payment until this meeting.

Timber Lake chosen as featured community for SDPB episode

Timber Lake has been chosen by S.D. Public Broadcasting to be a featured community in its 2023-2024 Dakota Life series. City Finance Officer Karla Nordkye shared that news with the city board at its Monday, December 5 meeting.
