August 24, 2022 Jerome Moses Goodhouse, Jr., 30, of McLaughlin was found guilty of two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and one count of witness tampering as a result of a federal jury trial in Aberdeen. The verdict was returned on August 24, 2022.

Horizon Health Care honors staff, donors

Horizon Health Care hosted a virtual recognition event on August 9 to honor employees and donors who have contributed to the Horizon mission in providing access to affordable, high-quality health care.

The former Alvin and Minerva Herman home had fallen into disrepair in recent years and was demolished last month. Remnants of the stonework done by the Glenn Crance family in the 1940s can still be seen. The Hermans bought the house from Fred and Emma Fahy in the 1960s.
