PACT Act expands veterans benefits

Submitted by Bridget Keller, Perkins County VSO The PACT Act is a new law that expands Veterans Affairs (VA) health care and benefits for veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances.

Rise & Grind Run/Walk: Fun for all

Twenty-eight runners and walkers of all ages turned out for the Rise and Grind 5K and Fun Run in Timber Lake on Saturday, August 27. Kids 10 and under ran around an entire block.

Kruger crew gathers for reunion in Pierre July 16

On July 16, in Pierre, a reunion was held for the descendants of Ben and Bertha Kruger. A potluck meal was enjoyed and there was no shortage of food for the 40 people present. The oldest relative there was Irene Ryckman, 93, of Pollock.
