Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Council banishes Lakota Language Consortium

Members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Council voted unanimously recently to banish a non-profit organization and its co-founder, accusing them of misappropriating the Lakota language and culture.

Dupree Pioneer Days celebration returns this weekend

After a two year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dupree's Pioneer Days community celebration returns this Friday through Sunday, June 24-26, with a huge line-up of events. The weekend kicks off Friday evening with a Sioux YMCA Pop-Up Diner opening at 5:30 p.m.
