SD High School Rodeo season to get underway April 23-25

The South Dakota High School Rodeo Association has announced its 2021 practice rodeo schedule, kicking off the season April 23-25 with the New Underwood Rodeo in Rapid City. Several rodeos that were scratched from the schedule last season due to COVID-19 are slated to return this spring.

Timber Lake School announces schedule of spring concerts

Timber Lake School is looking forward to having in-person Spring Concerts. The concert times and grades will be as follows: MAY 4 - THEATER @ 5:30 p.m.: • 4th grade • 5th grade • 5th grade band @ 7:00 p.m.: • MS (6-8) band • HS Choir and band MAY 6 - THEATER @ 6:30 p.m.

A good crowd attended the last of the four Knights of Columbus fish fries, held at St. Joseph’s Center in Timber Lake on Friday, March 26. The guest who traveled the longest distance was Ben Young, who lives in Anchorage, AK.

Timber Lake Tribune April 27, 1911 The Tribune editor and his family were entertained last Sunday at the home of Andrew Traversie. Mr. Traversie has a lovely home on the banks of Little Moreau and few Timber Lake people are aware of the scenic display on this situation.

TRAIL CITY NEWS

On Saturday, Chuck and Marsha Aberle traveled to Spearfish to visit Jonathan, Terry, Ella, Jordan, and Michael Aberle. While they were there, they celebrated Ella’s 9th birthday. On Thursday, Chuck and Marsha went out for supper in Mobridge to celebrate Marsha’s birthday.

The blood drive held in Dupree on March 22 garnered 17 pints of blood and plasma. There were two first time donors with one of them being a high school student. The next drive is tentatively set for May 25 and more information will be given as it gets closer.
