For four years, beginning with 1911, Timber Lake had held an annual birthday celebration to commemorate the selling of the lots on August 15,16,17 in 1910.

On May 5, at four in the morning, Carl Winterberg and his son Adrian of Timber Lake were at an airport in Sioux Falls, boarding a plane bound for Washington, DC.

AG report: Officers justified in shooting of Eagle Butte man

The South Dakota Attorney General released a report last Friday, Sept. 5, says law enforcement officers were justified in killing a man to “protect the hostage and themselves” during an Aug. 5 incident in Haakon County.
