Dewey Co. 4-H members exhibit projects at the South Dakota State Fair

Dewey County 4-H members exhibited their 4-H projects at the South Dakota State Fair in Huron. Projects were judged and displayed at this year’s State Fair from August 27–Sept. 1. Each 4-H member was allowed to enter up to six static exhibits at the State Fair.

Labor Day Wacipi ...

The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe hosted its annual Labor Day Wacipi Aug. 30-Sept. 1 in conjunction with the CRST Fair and Rodeo. After a rainy start, organizers moved the event indoors to the C-EB School gymnasium. The Pow Wow returned the new arbor on Labor Day.

A Dewey County man has been charged in the death of a man whose body was found Aug. 26, in an alley in downtown Spencer, IA.

Two Positions Available for the Timber Lake Native American Education Committee
