Game, Fish & Parks: State’s 2024 grouse season harvest was the best in 24 years

The 2024 grouse hunting season was very successful, according to the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP).The agency said Friday, June 27, that nearly 99,000 grouse were harvested throughout the 2024 season.

Road resurfacing underway between Gettysburg, Onida

On Monday, July 7, a centerline rumble strip project is scheduled to begin on segments of U.S. Highway 83 and U.S. Highway 212 between the towns of Onida and Gettysburg.The project limits on U.S. Highway 83 are from one mile north of Onida to the west junction of U.S. Highway 212 and Highway 83.

Bullhead, Wakpala women to serve prison time for offenses

Two women were sentenced last Monday, June 23, to time in federal prison on separate offenses on Standing Rock Sioux Reservation.Both Kaitlyn Shantell Left Hand, 27, of Bullhead and Malania Rose Fast Horse, 25, of Wakpala were sentenced in U.S. District Court by Judge Charles B. Kornmann.

Dewey County 4-H project days, getting ready for Achievement Days in July
