New Underwood Road in danger of returning to gravel
Dear Editor, Meade County and the South Dakota DOT are working together to secure a federal grant to provide funding for a Preliminary Engineering Report, as a step in their efforts to have the DOT designate New Underwood Road as a state highway. If the funding application fails, Meade County has indicated the road will probably be ground up and returned to a gravel road.
