Panther girls get wins at Groton

    Timber Lake Panther wrestlers Lilly Veit and Selena Longbrake turned in stellar performances at the Groton Wrestling Invitational last week with Veit claiming top honors in her weight class and Longbrake finishing a strong second in hers.

    Veit, wrestling at 185 pounds, went 2-for-1 on the day and pinned Cecelia Anderson of Britton/Hecla for top honors. Longbrake lost a tough battle with Cateri Yellow Hawk of Sully Buttes in the championship match at 126 pounds.

    On the boys side, Sidney Morgan went 4-1 in matches and claimed an 11-8 decision over Koda Popkes of Canistota for consolation honors in the 132 pound bracket.
