A proposed budget for Dewey County for 2026 looks very similar to the 2025 budget.
County Auditor Jamalia Franzen presented the department budget requests, which totaled $3,729,564, to the county commission at the July 3 meeting.
That figure is about $28,000 more than the 2025 budget although there were increases and decreases in some budget categories.
