Six emergency vehicles responded to a fire alarm at the Timber Lake School on Wednesday, September 16. It didn’t take long to determine that the smoke alarm was set off by a faulty battery back-up in the tech room next to the library, resulting in smoke but no fire.
Before abruptly adjourning due to a fire alarm, the Timber Lake School Board handled its September 16 agenda in 48 minutes. When the alarm sounded, along with instructions to vacate the building, a quick motion to adjourn was passed and board members and administrators went to investigate.
