Shooting team competes in Clay Target League

The Timber Lake High School Shooting Team competed for the first year in the South Dakota Clay Target League. Over 500 students from 21 South Dakota high school teams participated in the South Dakota State High School Clay Target League’s spring trap shooting season, which began April 2.

Last year there were 211 students on 7 teams. Timber Lake finished in fourth place in Conference 2 with Brandon Valley, Chamberlain, Harrisburg, Mitchell, Stanley County and Winner/Colome. The USA Clay Target League is deemed the safest high school sport in the country, with priorities being safety, fun, and marksmanship.
