Jackley, Krebs make low key campaign stops in area

South Dakota’s Attorney General and Secretary of State made stops in Isabel and Bison on Friday, June 2. AG Marty Jackley and Secretary Shantel Krebs are in the early stages of their respective campaigns for the Republican nominations for Governor and U.S.

Congress. On their way to the Grand Electric Co-op annual meeting in Bison, Jackley and Krebs stopped at Sparky’s in Isabel to chat up some locals and meet with café owner and Dist. 28 Senator Ryan Maher. Krebs, who will have a 2018 Republican primary contest with Dusty Johnson in the bid to replace Kristi Noem in Congress, said she’s running to represent the people of the state in D.C. She cited President Trump’s election as a primary reason for running.
