When the rodeo did resume, arena conditions were less than ideal as it was from then on a slog through the mud to finish Saturday night. It was just as muddy for the Sunday morning slack and the Sunday night performance. While the conditions were less than ideal strictly from a rodeo sense, nobody was cursing the rain, as it was much-needed.

This year’s clown act was PRCA regular act “Backflip” Johnny Dudley of Texas, who bragged that he had brought the rain with him. Local circuit pickup man and rodeo competitor JJ Hunt responded that next year, Dudley should come back in May.
