At the annual reorganization meeting of the Dewey County Commission on January 5, Bob Berndt of Eagle Butte and John Meginness of Isabel were reelected chairman and vicechairman, respectively.
The board appointed Dan Assman as sheriff; he had been serving as acting sheriff.
Jerry Keller of Timber Lake was appointed Veterans Service Officer for Dewey County, replacing Robert Dunsmore.
