May 8, 1952 – May 18, 2021
Charles (“Chuck”) Hack was born May 8, 1952 in Mandan, ND, to John and Katie Hack. He died suddenly on May 18, 2021 at his home in Williamsburg, CO, after complications from a severe stroke.
Chuck married Ranae Rittenbach in 2008 in Timber Lake. Wile at Timber Lake, they owned and operated a cafe and bar. In 2015 they moved to Colorado, where they had planned on retiring as close as possible to the best fly fishing around.
Chuck enjoyed many hobbies - camping, fly tying, gardening, and building all sorts of things, but fly fishing was his favorite pastime. Chuck will be missed for his good humor and wit by the many he came into contact with over his lifetime. Up until his death, he worked for Canon City Parks, Open Spaces, and Forestry.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, John Hack, and his mother, Katie (Boehm) Hack.
He is survived by his wife Ranae; his brother Rich; his two step-sons Larry Giles and Mark (Kristin) Rittenbach; and his little buddy, Piper.
Per Chuck's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
(Ranae Hack’s address is 10 Ridgeway Dr., Florence, CO 81226.)
