Faith cowboy first in cutting at NW Regional

Trey Fuller of Faith scored first place in the boy’s cutting event at the South Dakota High School Rodeo Association’s Northwest Regional in Buffalo on Saturday, June 5.

Fuller was the only competitor to score in both go-arounds, putting up 69 points on his first run and 71 on his second. In addition, he placed fourth in reined-cow horse. Kenley Day of Meadow finished second in pole bending with times of 22.387 and 21.999 seconds and turned in a third place performance in barrel racing with times of 18.214 and 18.429 seconds, respectively.

Brooks Madison of Faith was third in breakaway roping while Skylar Vig of Faith and Macy Schiley of Meadow placed second and third, respectively, in goat tying and Schiley was also fourth in girls’ cutting. Katie Sheridan of Faith finished third in pole bending.

Toarin Humble and Lanny Brooks, both of Faith, were third and fourth in the saddle bronc competition. They each had one ride for 61 and 56 points, respectively. Sage Burress and Rope Roghair, both of Isabel, partnered to place third overall in team roping. Roghair was also seventh in tie-down roping.
