Curtis Brenner, 66, of Lampe, MO and formerly of Isabel passed away June 10, 2021, in Little Rock, AR. He was born September 12, 1954 in Isabel, the son of Ruben and Marylou (Geiser) Brenner.
Curtis was joined in marriage January 1, 2006 to Helane Niesen.
“Poppy” as he was known by many (especially his grandkids), graduated from Isabel High School before attending Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. As a dairy farmer, Curtis loved caring for animals and valued hard work. He raised chickens, grew a garden and enjoyed camping. He was a tie down roper for a time, but his fondest memory was last December when he and Helane attended the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Dallas.
Above everything else, Curtis loved the Lord and was a devoted husband, dad and “Poppy” to his grandchildren.
Curtis was preceded in death by his mom, Marylou Brenner, and a sister, Linda Tranisi.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Helane Brenner; his sons, Matthew Brenner and Tim (Eliza) Brenner; stepchildren Jennifer Hardy, Michelle (Darren) Henley, David (Sonia) Van Der Steen, and Steven Van Der Steen; 10 grandchildren; his dad, Ruben Brenner; a sister, Dianne (Doug) McCully; a sister-in-law, Harriet Scherer; his nephews, Joe Tranisi, Carlo Tranisi, Paul Tranisi, and Chris Scherer; extended family members and close friends.
A funeral service was held June 16, 2021, at Woodland Hills Family Church, Branson, MO. Burial was in Philibert Cemetery, Kimberling City, MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
