Bernie Labusewycz

Bernie Labusewycz passed away July 2, 2021 in Apple Valley, CA.

Bernie was born in Stuttgart, Germany on October 7, 1947 to Michael and Anna Labusewycz. At the age of two Bernie came to the United States with his mother, father and sister Irene. They lived in Firesteel, then later moved to Timber Lake.

Bernie graduated in 1965 from Timber Lake High School. After high school he was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam (1966-1968).

Bernie worked as a lineman with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 40 years.

He was fortunate to spend 21 years with the love of his life and soulmate, Jaynie.

Bernie loved golfing. You would find him on the golf course three times a week with golf buddy Ike and the golf league. The last 19 years Bernie lived a wonderful life as a double lung recipient.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Irene, wife Jaynie, and step-daughter Denise.

He is survived by a sister Gloria (Harvey) Reiss; niece Sandy (Randy) Aase; nephew Kevin Reiss; three great-nephews: Parker, Hudson and Miles Aase; step-sons Dean Brooks and Brian Wilkinson; step-daughters Sherrie Carter and Cindy Wright; and brother-in-law Garland Martin.
