As South Dakotans, we understand heat as many in our country
do not, because we are subjected to it directly and until recently
could do absolutely nothing to avoid it.
We understand beyond traditional heat, like the gentle warming
of a baby’s face with a washcloth at bath time, or the
heat generated by lovers reunited after some time apart....
