Ryder Veit, 7, and his little sister Ramzi, are ready for the Days of 1910. Ryder, one of the celebration’s youngest volunteers, will be working as an arena cleaner (for the first time) with Ridge Takes The Knife, 6, at the Saturday and Sunday evening performances. He’ll be riding one of his two favorite horses, River or 30 Days, to move calves and steers back into their pens after events. Ryder and Ramzi are the children of Roy and Mikki Veit of Timber Lake.
Ready or not - the Days of 1910 Celebration has arrived.
Actually, ready is the right word, as Timber Lake Rodeo Association president Richard Gross said on Tuesday that everything was looking good.
New bucking chute signs were installed at the rodeo arena Tuesday afternoon and at 4 p.m. a couple dozen volunteers showed up to erect the tent on Main Street.
