St. Joseph’s Parochial School (ABOVE) was built in 1919-20 and opened in 1920 with eight grades and one year of high school. It was closed from 1940 to 1946 and was destroyed by fire in 1950. Holy Cross Catholic School was built in the same location on F Street in 1952. It closed in 1979 and the building was used for other purposes of the parish. That structure was torn down in 2020.

The happy vacation days have past, and the new beginning of another school year is here. During the past two years St. Joseph’s School has attained progress, the fact of which we are proud of. The firmest establishment of an educational system is not an easy task, but embodies sincerity and much patience.
