Howard Cross

Funeral services for Howard LeRoy Cross, 74, will be held at Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, MN on October 11, 2021. Visitation hours are from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. with the funeral to follow.

Howard passed away peacefully at the St. Cloud Hospital on September 29, 2021. Burial, with full military honors, will take place at Fort Snelling (MN) National Cemetery the next day, October 12, at 11:30 a.m.

Howard was born April 22, 1947 in Elkhart, KS to Raymond and Irma Cross. He graduated from Sunshine Bible Academy at Miller, SD and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war.

Howard enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles and semi-trucks. He was very fortune to have his passion take him to 48 states either by motorcycle or semi. He loved visiting the Black Hills and all the beauty it had to offer with his wife Connie. Howard loved woodworking, making hutches, cabinets, beds, and toy boxes for his family.

He is survived by his wife Connie and her four children - Diane Carol (Richard Ross), Stacy Rae (James Eugene), Tory Ann (Brian Guy) and Nicole Lee (Jesse Charles); and her grandchildren - Jamee Marie (Brett Joseph), Ashley Nell (Anthony James), Zachary Darwin, Alexander Michael, Ashton Darwin, Payton Purl, Jordyn Jessi, and Drake Darwin; and her great-grandchildren, Ella Kay, Bennett William, Andrew James and Maverick Ross.

He is also survived by his sister Helen Brinkman (Del Brinkman) of Isabel, nieces - Cindy and her children - Ashley, Kali, Dayton, Hanna, and Jaxon; Sandy (Brian Lindstrom) and children Nathan and Cody; and Tammy (John Murray); and nephew Kevin Cross.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Clarence.
