Marcella Ryan LeBeau, age 102, of Eagle Butte passed away on November 21 at Eagle Butte. Mrs. LeBeau was an Army nurse during World War II, a longtime Indian Health Service nurse, former member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Council, an advocate for many native and women’s causes, and a revered Lakota elder.
Funeral services are pending with Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.
