Mary Byington reflects on Pearl Harbor attack and aftermath

Next Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 marks the 80th anniversary of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor. On the 50th anniversary of that event, former Topic publishereditor Mary Utsunomiya Byington wrote about her personal experiences of that time. Her story is reprinted here from the Dec. 5, 1991 issue of the Topic.
