At its December 8 meeting, the Timber Lake City Board tentatively agreed on increases to water and sewer rates which were deemed necessary to meet requirements of state grant funding. The board authorized Finance Officer Karla Nordyke to prepare a resolution to be acted on at a special year-end meeting on December 21 at 6 p.m.
However, a few days after the meeting, new communications with the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (the grant agency) indicated that the increases may not have to be as much as anticipated.
The minutes of the board meeting on page 14 of this issue detail the planned increases, which are now subject to change.
The minutes also include approval of new office furniture and a sander attachment for the pickup as well as other business. (See page 14)
