Tisha Fast Horse, 50, of Eagle Butte, passed away January 26, 2022, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Funeral services were held February 12, 2022, at St. John’s Episcopal Church at Eagle Butte. Burial was in the LaPlant Catholic Cemetery.
Tisha Ann Shaving was born June 10, 1971 in Eagle Butte. She attended Swift Bird Day School, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte High School and Presentation College in Eagle Butte. She grew up in LaPlant and later moved to Eagle Butte.
She was employed at White Horse Head Start, CRST Law Enforcement, the Prosecutor’s Office and was working at the CRST Emergency Children’s Shelter when she contracted COVID in December of 2020. She had worked there for six years.
Tisha is survived by her husband Al; daughter Alisha; sister Lynelle; brother Jalen; uncles Larry Charger, and Mike and Francis Shaving; aunts Delilah and Winona Charger, Jennie LeBeau, Rita and Sonya Shaving; three nieces: CeCe, Nevaeh and Naliyah; and nephews, the Buffalo brothers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Shaving; mother, Colette Charger Shaving; infant son Reuben; sister Tonia; maternal grandparents, Philip and Meta Good Face Charger; maternal great-grandparents, Samuel and Rosa Red Weasel Charger; paternal grandparents, Paul and Grace Useful Heart Shaving; paternal great-grandparents, Charlie and Jennie Swift Eagle Shaving, and Pete and Lucy Egna Useful Heart; uncles Leonard, Robert and Clarence Charger and Gerald Shaving; aunts Phyllis, Anna and Myrna Charger; and many other relatives.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg was in charge of arrangements.
