On the Dewey County Democratic ballot in Tuesday’s primary election, Jeff Ward received 200 votes, Chuck LeCompte 190, and Tim Peet 26 in the contest for the Democratic nomination for Dewey County Sheriff. Those are the unofficial tallies, and if they hold, Ward will meet Independent candidate and current sheriff, Ashley Arpan, in the November 8 general election.
