A three-year-old girl from LaPlant drowned at Farm Island State Park near Pierre on Saturday, June 25.
According to the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office, a 9-1-1 call at 5:20 p.m. CT reported a missing child last seen near the water’s edge at Farm Island.
