Holzer receives award for contributions to history
The West River History Conference honored Karen Dahlgren Holzer, formerly of Timber Lake, with the Herb Blakely Award in recognition of her work in local and regional history.
Karen Holzer of Spearfish and formerly of Timber Lake was presented the Herbert Blakely Award at the 2022 West River History Conference in Custer on Friday Oct 7. The award is presented annually to someone meeting the criteria of outstanding contributions to local and regional history, a sense of American patriotism, and efforts to further the concepts of good citizenship.
