Linda was born May 10, 1952 in Mobridge to Burt and Jean (Longbrake) Dillabaugh. She was raised in Armstrong County.

The majority of her education was in Eagle Butte, with a short stint in Springfield at a girls’ boarding school.

Linda married Greg Jewett in 1969 and welcomed her daughter, Jeanne Marie, in December 1969.

She graduated from high school at Eagle Butte in 1970.

After her first marriage ended, she found love again in November of 1972 when she married Fred Heathershaw. In 1973 she moved to Glasgow, MT and took classes on the Glasgow Air Force Base.

Linda married her third husband, John Heathershaw, in 1986.

Linda welcomed an adopted son, Joey, on April 4, 1990. Linda was a contracting specialist for the Financial Department in the Tribal office from 1992 to 2006. She worked as a contracting specialist for Tribal Projects from 2006 until she retired in 2011.

For the last 12 years of her life, she spent her days laughing and enjoying life and spreading love to everyone she came in contact with. She loved growing plants and always had a green thumb.

Linda found her long-lost sister, Tina Conlee, after years of searching. She was able to meet Tina in August 2021. Their Aunt June and Uncle Don hosted a Thanksgiving dinner in 2022 at their home in Sandia Park, NM. Terry, Linda, Susie, Fred, and Tina’s family had a wonderful time reconnecting and sharing memories.
