Georginia Red Bear

April 3, 1955 – January 26, 2023

A celebration of life service for Georginia Juanita Red Bear, 67, of Dupree was held Friday, February 3, 2023 at Pioneer Hall in Dupree. Burial followed in the Dupree City Cemetery.

Georginia went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.

Georginia Juanita was born in Gettysburg to George and Isabell Collins Zimmerman April 3,1955, the fifth of six children. Her siblings include Earl Eugene Case, Caroline Patricia (Butch) Schumacher of Gillette, WY, Patrick Richard (Nancy) Case of Tok, AL, Allyn (Edra) Case of St. George, UT, and George Franklin (Linda) Zimmerman II.

Her mother Isabell was her greatest influence in life. Georginia’s dad George was 40 years old when he married, and he was a good influence on his family. He was a Prisoner of War and carried his sorrows and pain from the experience the rest of his life.

Georginia has six children, Stephen Paul (Angelina) Zimmerman, Jamie Ann Cedar, Robin April (Richard) Thompson, Jenny (Slade) Farlee, George Franklyn (Brandee BahnMiller) Zimmerman III, and Jeremiah Andrew (Aubrionna Enno) Red Bear; 13 grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Georginia is a direct descendant of Jennie In the Lead, a Wounded Knee survivor, and of grandfather William Garreau. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Earl and George, one set of twin children, three grandchildren, and her cousin and friend, JR Collins.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg was in charge of arrangements.
