Sande Lea Marso, 61, of Mobridge passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 at Rapid City Monument Hospital. She was born July 14,1961 to Russell and Denaldo (Solberg) Bornong in Faith. She attended school in Isabel.
Sande enjoyed making floral arrangements, gardening, spending time with her family including her grandkids and spoiling them any chance she got to. She always had a flair for fashion; she loved dressing up and wearing her many beautiful hats. She enjoyed taking road trips and going to casinos. Finding good bargain shopping was always a highlight of her days. She enjoyed visiting with friends any chance she got and playing cards and Yahtzee.
Sande took great pride in taking care of her son, Monte. Sande played basketball in high school and her love of sports grew from there. She was an avid sports fan and loved the Bills and being an unauthorized referee at her children’s games. She enjoyed listening to music, especially the oldies. She shared that passion with her grandson, Tayten.
Grateful to have shared her life are her sons, Josh (Falen) Millhouse of Piedmont and Montgomery Marso of Mobridge; daughter Mande Marso of Mobridge; grandchildren Jazlyn Millhouse, Isaac (Salena) Dike, Tayten Millhouse, Tucker Millhouse, Aryeana Millhouse, and Kaisyn Millhouse; two great-granddaughters; sisters Terri (Gus) Sharp of Havre, MT and Vicki Fisher of Rapid City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by father and mother; sister Susan Ellison; aunt Mary Jo Bornong; and uncle Harold Bornong.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
